# Parent/ Child Accounts

## Overview

A parent account's access token can be used to make API calls on behalf of any of their child accounts. This is done by providing the parent access token in the `Authorization` header and the child account's id in the `Lr-Org-Id` header.

The account specified in the `Lr-Org-Id` header will determine where resources are created as well as the account that will be billed.
