# Authentication Upgrade

To maintain strict OAuth 2.0 compliance, LiveRamp has upgraded its backend authentication systems.\
**Authentication**: There are no changes to the authentication method documented [here](https://developers.liveramp.com/rampid-api/reference/request-an-access-token-1).\
However, the token response now includes minor parameter updates that do not affect authentication behavior.\
**Action required**: If you use automated token requests, you'll need to fetch a new token after this change goes live. Tokens still expire after 15 minutes; your existing refresh logic should handle the transition automatically.\
