ATS Mobile SDK Version 2.0 Has Been Released
We have recently released version 2.0 of the ATS Mobile SDK for both iOS and Android. This version of the SDK supports ATS On-Device, our newest solution to specifically handle AppTrackingTransparency (or similar framework for Android) opt-in users.
ATS On-Device
ATS On-Device allows you to match identifiers directly on users' devices, enabling you to handle identifiers from users who have opted out of AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) or any similar framework. ATS On-Device also enables direct buys with marketers who distribute their segments through LiveRamp.
LiveRamp supports on-device match capability through Bloom Filters. ATS On-Device is recommended if you have:
- Significant logged-in user base (or can tie users to their email)
- The ability to run programmatic direct deals on your ad stack (i.e. Google Ad Manager)
- Direct relationships with marketers/advertisers who you work with
How ATS On-Device Works
- You negotiate the terms of the deal with the marketer of your choice.
- You create a Deal ID in Console and set up a line item to target the Deal ID (For example; key value pairs) within Google Ad Manager or any similar ad server.
- The marketer onboards their audience data to LiveRamp.
- LiveRamp constructs Bloom filters that represent the marketer's audience. Each Bloom filter is tagged with the corresponding Deal ID.
- Within a few hours, the Bloom filters will be available to select within Console.
- On the next launch, the ATS Mobile SDK will pull down the Bloom filters you selected.
- The ATS Mobile SDK obtains user's email as an input and does a lookup locally against the Bloom filter.
- If a user exists within the filter, the SDK responds with a corresponding Deal ID. This Deal ID can then be sent in donwstream ad requests for that user as a key value pair.
- Once your ad server sees the key value pair with the Deal ID, it will match the line item for your marketer deal and the associated creative (ads) will be served.
