A high-level description of LiveRamp's onboarding workflows
Through its onboarding product, LiveRamp allows you to anonymously resolve lists of consumer data tied to personally identifiable information (PII) or devices on marketing platforms (like DSPs, SSPs, and publishers) in a privacy-conscious and secure environment. This anonymized data can then be used for targeting, analytics, and more.
At a high-level, this workflow has the following steps:
- Customer provides LiveRamp with a file of consumer data
- LiveRamp anonymizes the data and organizes it into segments (generally represented by segment data columns in the file)
- Customer directs LiveRamp to send a subset (or all) of these segments to an available marketing platform
- LiveRamp matches the anonymized data to the platform's devices and then delivers the resulting devices to the platform
At this point, the client can then use the segments within the platform to run targeted campaigns, perform analysis, etc.
More information can be found at the LiveRamp Knowledge Base.
In the following sections, we'll go into more detail about each part of the workflow, and where the API comes into play.
